New Hamburg – Bitte Schön Brauhaus releases its Huron Street Hefeweizen to the LCBO today - Tuesday July 31 - just in time for the Civic holiday. Huron Street Hefeweizen is a long-standing favourite at Bitte Schön - a light body with citrus notes opens to hints of banana and cloves for a smooth mouth feel. It was the first to be crafted by brewer and co-owner, Robin Molloy, when the brewery was founded less than 2 years ago.
With less than 1,000 sq.ft, Bitte Schön Brauhaus is likely one of the smallest breweries in Ontario, maybe even all of Canada! Nestled within the architecturally award-winning historic Imperial Building, the brewery crafts small batches of selected brews, seasonal blends and one offs in the village of New Hamburg in Waterloo Region.
Beers available on tap include regular Bitte Schön staples such as The Wild Cream Ale and PitchSide Pilsner, both brewed to support local sports teams, the Ernie Ritz Hopaweizen an homage to local legend and former New Hamburg Mayor, Ernie Ritz, in addition many one offs and seasonals.
Operating hours are changing as Bitte Schon focuses on increasing production and various selections. Expect the brewery open every Saturday from 11 – 7pm for the taproom and a full retail of their products.
